Announcement for 2024 FIJET ACADEMY for Young Journalists Program in Slovakia
In anticipation of the upcoming 2024 Edition of the FIJET Academy for Young Journalists, we are thrilled to announce that this year’s program will take place in Slovakia from June 16th to 22nd.
This annual event aims to nurture and empower aspiring journalists with a passion for tourism journalism and travel writing.
We are sincerely grateful to the President of Fijet Slovakia and the Treasurer of Fijet Prof. Ludmila Novacka for organising this year’s programme with the official partners; Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Slovak Republic, PanEuropean University-Faculty of Media, Bratislava Tourist Board and Trnava Region Tourist Board.
Like all the previous editions of the Fijet Academy program it will be very informative, beneficial and interesting for young journalists. Participants can look forward to a dynamic program designed to enhance their skills and understanding of the industry. A programme full of both academic and social activities awaits them.
Each participating association is invited to send two Tourism or Journalism students between the ages of 18-35 to represent their country, in order to foster international collaboration and networking opportunities. Powered by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Slovak Republic, Bratislava Tourist Board, Tranava Region Tourist Board and with the partnership of the PanEuropean University- Faculty of Media in Bratislava, which will provide our students with education opportunities in the state-of-the-art classrooms this year’s FIJET ACADEMY Programme promises to be an enriching experience for all involved.
Our full-board summer course provides a unique opportunity for the participants to acquire fundamentals of tourism and journalism training in a small friendly group, while at the same time enjoying the sightseeing tours in the beautiful host country Slovakia.
We kindly ask all FIJET National Associations to contribute to our program by sending participants.
